The method.
Four simple ideas, backed by research on reading and memory, that turn every story into a step towards the next level.
IDEA 1
Understand almost everything
When you know around 95% of the words in a text, you can infer the rest from context and enjoy reading. That's why every story is written with your vocabulary and only a few new words.
Research on extensive reading (e.g. Hu & Nation, 2000) shows that comfortable comprehension requires knowing the great majority of the words in a text.

IDEA 2
Words that come back
You don't learn a word by seeing it once. You'll meet it again in the next stories, at growing intervals: just as you were about to forget it.
IDEA 3
One level after another
Six levels, from absolute beginner to independent reader. Each one grows your vocabulary, the length of the stories and the grammar you meet.

HSK and CEFR equivalences are approximate.
IDEA 4
Stories that adapt to you
Every reading tells us something: which words you look up, how you answer the questions and how long you take. We use it to prepare your next story, so it's neither too easy nor too hard.
